Pelido Chorus Girl - 'Saska'

Today was the day every animal owner dreads, we had to make the decision to have Saska put to sleep.
She broke her hock trying to jump over a gate and would have needed it pinning. After discussing all the options with the Vet, and taking into account that she already had chronic arthritis we decided that the kindest thing for her, was to give her rest.
She loved to run and hadn't been able to do that for several months so hopefully she's reunited with her friends, Dexter, Honey, Fleur and Chelsey, chasing after those pesky rabbits.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I had to make the same decision last year. This is a sad day. You are the second person I have heard of who had to make that choice today. She was such a pretty lady.
ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry to hear about your loss. She is beautiful. You gave her a wonderful life. She is happy crossing the Rainbow bridge to be with the friends who traveled ahead of her.
ReplyDeleteOh Gayle I'm so sorry :(
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe I'm not going to see her again, I keep expecting her to be lying in her favourite places.
ReplyDeleteTerrible, not to see Her again. I hope she gets to play with King, Prince, and Queenie and the rest of their children that were known to me a beautiful Golden Collies. Such, I have made those decisions. One time, the doctors were not so forth coming with the facts. Had I known they were snatching straws? How horrible I still feel. My immigrant from Scotland, Cub a Border Collie.

I hope Saska is now running free with my Meg - they'll have fun together at the Rainbow Bridge I'm sure.
