Thank you Sharon and Colette. The watercolour works really well as a base for coloured pencil adding depth without needing to work quite so many layers.
As always, your work is so very impressive. Lovely handing of the materials, but most importantly, the personality is so much a part of this piece as to be the sum of it when viewing. Only after that experience do you start to see the craftsmanship beneath. Great job, Gayle.
beautiful result - I must have another go at using coloured pencils, never thought of putting a wash of watercolour as a base
